Rasputina- the Hermitress comes out of her cave: Melora Creager and her band, Rasputina emerge for limited East Coast dates.
Alongside Melora Creager is Luis Mojica on beat-box and harpsichord (https://www.luismojica.com), and Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius (http://www.heardmusic.net) on an entrancing folkish hand-drum kit.
Showcasing two new recordings : Feel-Good Hits of 1817 and None But the Lonely Heart- both mostly covers, but very interesting ones. A Duke Ellington hymn, Tschaikowsky with lyrics by Goethe, Patti Smith, Edvard Grieg and more! These recordings are only available at Rasputina’s recitals.
See their lovely show while you can.
